BLM Girls College Nawanshahr Doaba was established in May 1959 with the inspiration of renowned philanthropists of the area. Many citizens of the town rendered their co-operation with missionary zeal, to educate the women of rural and backward areas of Nawanshahr Doaba. This institution is run by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Punjab with the farsighted wisdom as well as untiring efforts for advancement of women education. The college is affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. The college has Post Graduate Courses: MA Hindi and MA Political Science, Post Graduate Diplomas in Computer Application, Fashion Designing and in Cosmetology along with BA, B.Sc. Economics, B.Com, BCA. This college has well equipped laboratories to meet basic requirements and to provide the best possible knowledge to the students with stress on experience and practical capability. The College has its own double storied hostel which can accommodate 70 girls. It is spacious old residential accommodation.
